Why do we have to be desperate for God? why uh? Not like I can't live without Him or what mah...
YES...You can't live without Him
To think you can live without having God in your life indicates you are already sick or probably dead in the spirit.
To believe in Christ isnt a religion we choose along the way of our lives,and it does not just give you coverage of salvation if you see it as an insurance policy,
Christ is our blessed assurance not insurance just in case something happens hor... well insurance companies fight their way not to pay you the insured guaranteed sum when something happens,investigating every possible means to say the accident or sickness we have was a negligence on our part.Well Christ assures us everything is in His hands and His will for our lives are perfect! and what more? We will have a share in His inheritance. Jesus said this to His disciples,are you a disciple of Christ?

26“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters–yes, even his own life–he cannot be my disciple. 27And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:26,27)

I read this from a sermon from D.L. Moody from the internet : No man can be a disciple of Jesus Christ without bearing his cross. A great many want to know how it is Christ has so few disciples whilst Muhammad has so many. The reason is, Muhammad gives no cross to bear.

The Holy Spirit Jesus promised us is in and with everyone of us christians and we are the temple of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches us the word and equips us with gifts for the edification of the body of Christ. And it is by the Holy Spirit we have our relationship with.The Holy Spirit speaks to us differently and in various ways. Through the reading of the word,still small voice,people,visions,etc ..do not exempt for one God cannot speak to us in anyone of the ways. well He spoke through the mouth of a donkey. He lives in us and He reveals to us the very likeness of Christ and He'll help us be like Him. As He speaks,be sensitive to the Spirit and obey. He wants us to hunger and thirst for Him yet it is Him who gives the appitite for Him,and where there is such Faith and expectation,He will come and speak to you. He sees the desperate heart of ours,empty, a vacuum that can only be filled by Him.Why empty? Cos we have emptied of ourselves to Him to be taken care of in His perfect will for our lives,laying down our own agendas and giving up our ALL to Him. Give Him our all so that He can put in us His all who is without limit.
